Export your trades from Stake
Stake has two kinds of accounts — Australian (Stake AUS) and US (Stake Wall St) — and each has its own preset in Metrifly. This shows you how to download your activity report and import it with the matching preset. By the end, your Stake trades will be in your portfolio.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Know which account you’re importing: AUS or Wall St (US).
- In Metrifly, pick the single portfolio you want the trades to go into (not a group).
Step 1 — Download your activity report from Stake
Section titled “Step 1 — Download your activity report from Stake”- Log in and select your AUS or Wall St (US) trading account.
- Go to Tax & reporting → Financial year reports.
- Download the Investment activity report for the relevant year.
You’ll get an .xlsx file — that’s the file Metrifly needs.
Step 2 — Import the file into Metrifly
Section titled “Step 2 — Import the file into Metrifly”- In Metrifly, go to Transactions → Add Holdings → Import from file.
- Choose the preset that matches your account: Stake AU for the AUS account, or Stake US for the Wall St account.
- Upload your file. Metrifly maps the columns and previews the trades it found.
- Click Import. Your trades save in the background and your holdings update within a minute.
For the full import walkthrough, see Import your trade history from a file.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| US trades look wrong (or AU trades do) | You may have picked the wrong preset. Use Stake AU for AUS and Stake US for Wall St. |
| The file won’t upload | Make sure it’s the .xlsx activity report and it’s under 10 MB. |
| Some trades are missing | Download the activity report for each financial year you’ve traded in. |
