Combine portfolios into a group
A group shows combined performance across several portfolios at once. Your member portfolios stay completely separate — nothing is merged, and deleting a group never deletes a portfolio. By the end of this, you’ll have an aggregated view across the portfolios you choose.
Create a group
Section titled “Create a group”- Go to Manage Portfolios → Groups → New Group.
- Enter a Name and a Base currency, then tick the member portfolios to include.
- Click Create group.
To change it later, click Edit on the group card or Edit group on the group page.
What the group page shows
Section titled “What the group page shows”- A stat strip with combined value, profit and loss, total return, and dividends year-to-date (in the group’s currency).
- An aggregated holdings table, with Sources tags showing which member portfolio each position comes from.
Working in group mode
Section titled “Working in group mode”Selecting a group in the sidebar switches the app to group mode. Some features change:
| Available in group mode | Not available in group mode |
|---|---|
| Performance (no Overview), Diversification, Benchmark, Dividends, Dividends Calendar | Tax Reporting |
| Transactions (read-only, across all members) | Add Holdings |
| Portfolio Settings and per-portfolio email |
When something isn’t available, Metrifly shows “Not available for portfolio groups” — switch to a single portfolio for those tasks.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| The group is empty | Add member portfolios that have trades in them. |
| Tax or import is blocked | Select a single portfolio, not the group. |
| You deleted a group by mistake | Your member portfolios are untouched — just create the group again. |
